Our client Riphah International University is looking for a Senior Lecturer in Higher Education in REMOTE
Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Lecturer to join its academic faculty. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in curriculum development, proficient use of learning management systems, and excellent communication abilities. With a minimum of three years of post-Master’s experience and at least one publication, the Senior Lecturer will contribute to the university’s educational goals by delivering high-quality teaching and providing research supervision. This role does not involve managing a team but requires collaboration with colleagues to meet departmental objectives and support student success. The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for designing and updating course materials that meet academic standards, utilizing technology to enhance the learning experience, and actively engaging students to foster a positive educational environment. The candidate will be expected to meet annual targets set by the Head of Department (HOD), including both teaching and research supervision duties.
The ideal candidate must have a relevant MS and BS degree with one publication.
Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and update curriculum content to ensure it aligns with current academic and industry standards for Higher National Diploma programs.
- Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions using effective communication techniques and appropriate learning management systems to support diversified learning styles.
- Supervise research projects and guide students in their academic inquiries, ensuring quality and timeliness of research outputs.
- Meet and strive to exceed annual performance targets assigned by the Head of Department in areas of teaching quality and research supervision.
- Utilize learning management systems to organize course materials, track student progress, and facilitate communication between students and faculty.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, examinations, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to encourage academic improvement.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to maintain curriculum relevance and consistency throughout the department and contribute to academic committees as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development to keep up with new teaching strategies, research methodologies, and developments in the relevant academic field.
- Contribute to the preparation of academic publications, research proposals, and presentations in line with institutional goals.
- Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and seminars to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and support university initiatives.
