Our client Riphah International University is looking for a Professor of Psychology - Research \& Teaching Expert in Islamabad
The Professor of Psychology at Riphah International University will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality psychology courses, guiding students in their academic and research pursuits, and contributing to the university's research profile through active publication and scholarly engagement. Although this position does not involve team management, the professor will mentor and supervise students and junior researchers to enhance their academic capabilities and research skills. The role demands a scholar with expertise in research methodology, data analysis, and an enduring passion for advancing the discipline through innovative teaching and impactful research activities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate-level psychology courses that are current and engaging.
- Design and implement research projects within the field of psychology, ensuring methodological rigor and academic integrity.
- Conduct and publish original research in reputable HEC and indexing journals regularly, maintaining a publication record aligned with university standards.
- Supervise and mentor graduate students, assisting them with thesis design, research strategies, and academic development.
- Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on student assignments, exams, and dissertations to foster academic growth.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty members on interdisciplinary research initiatives and curriculum development.
- Participate actively in academic committees and contribute to the continuous improvement of the psychology department.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in psychological theories, research methods, and applications to enrich teaching and research.
- Organize seminars, workshops, and conferences to promote a culture of research and knowledge sharing within the department.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and institutional policies in all academic and research activities.
