Our client Recruit AI is looking for a Legal Manager - Food Safety \& Compliance in Karachi
The Legal Manager in the Food \& Oil Industry at Recruit AI plays a critical role in overseeing and managing all legal affairs related to the companys operations in this sector. This position requires a professional with a deep understanding of contract management and regulatory frameworks specific to food safety and oil production. The manager ensures that all legal practices conform to statutory and industry requirements, mitigating risks and supporting the companys strategic objectives. A candidate with at least 10 years of experience in the food industry is ideal to handle the complexities of regulatory compliance and contract negotiations effectively.
Although this role does not involve managing a team, the Legal Manager acts as a key advisor to various departments, maintaining close collaboration with operational and quality assurance teams. Strong oversight of legal and regulatory compliance related to food safety standards is essential to maintain the companys reputation and compliance with domestic and international regulations. The role demands excellent problem-solving skills and a thorough understanding of legal implications in the food and oil sectors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee contract management processes, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts relevant to the food and oil industry.
- Ensure continuous compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to food safety and oil production.
- Provide legal guidance and support on matters concerning regulatory compliance and risk management to various departments.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the food and oil industry and advise the company accordingly.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all business functions.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and external legal counsel to resolve compliance issues and legal disputes.
- Conduct internal audits and compliance checks to identify potential areas of risk and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all legal documents and correspondence.
- Advise on best practices in compliance to enhance operational efficiency and limit legal exposure.
- Support product development teams by ensuring new products meet all legal and food safety standards before market release.
