Human Resources Manager

We are currently partnering with a **growing, employee\-owned infrastructure organization** to hire an experienced **HR Manager** to support multiple operations across Vancouver Island. This is a **hands\-on, field\-facing role** ideal for someone who thrives in a fast\-paced, operational environment and brings strong expertise in **labour relations, recruitment, and leadership coaching** . **About the Role** As the HR Manager, you will act as a key **HR Business Partner** to multiple business units, supporting employees and leaders across several sites. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent HR practices while supporting growth and operational success. You will work closely with both **local leadership and a centralized HR team** , balancing independence with collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide guidance on **labour relations** , including collective agreement interpretation, discipline, and employee relations matters * Lead **full\-cycle recruitment** across field, operational, and technical roles * Support **onboarding and workforce integration** , particularly during growth or acquisitions * Partner with leaders on **performance management, employee engagement, and HR best practices** **What We’re Looking For** * **5\+ years of HR experience in a unionized environment** * Strong background in **labour relations and collective bargaining** * Experience supporting **multi\-site or field\-based operations** * Ability to work **independently while partnering with leadership** in a dynamic environment * Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Vancouver Island **What’s Offered** * Competitive salary package: $85K – $105K \+ annual performance bonus * RRSP matching * Company\-paid benefits: Full health coverage \+ annual health or personal spending account * Employee ownership program: Opportunity to buy into a 100% employee\-owned company after 1 year * Auto allowance \+ fuel reimbursement for business travel **Important** This role is **based on Vancouver Island (Parksville)** and requires candidates to be **located locally or open to relocation** .
