The successful candidate holds a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from an HEC recognized university or institution and possesses at least three years of professional experience in the field. This role focuses on advancing knowledge and practical skills related to cybersecurity risk assessment while contributing to the academic community through research and publications. The position does not involve managing a team but requires strong individual expertise, commitment to quality education, and active involvement in scholarly activities.
The Assistant Professor will be responsible for developing and delivering specialized courses in cyber security, guiding students in both theoretical and practical aspects of the discipline. The role demands active engagement in research, including publishing findings in HEC recognized journals and participation in academic conferences. By maintaining up-to-date knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies, the professor will ensure that curriculum content remains relevant and challenging. The position plays a crucial role in fostering a research-oriented environment while strengthening the departments academic reputation through consistent scholarly output.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive lectures and practical sessions on cyber security principles, including risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
- Develop, update, and maintain course materials to reflect current trends and advancements in cyber security.
- Conduct independent and collaborative research, contributing at least three quality publications to HEC recognized journals.
- Participate in academic conferences and workshops to present research findings and enhance professional knowledge.
- Guide and mentor students in research projects, dissertations, and practical assignments related to cyber security.
- Design assessment tools and evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, and presentations.
- Collaborate with academic peers to enhance curriculum design and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of innovations and best practices in cyber security education.
- Contribute to the university's academic community by participating in committees and supporting departmental initiatives.
