Our client Agay Barho is looking for a UK Accountant with IRIS \& Xero Expertise in Rawalpindi Agay Barho is looking for a meticulous UK Accountant with at least 5 years of experience to join their accounting team. The role requires managing accounting operations for multiple UK\-based clients using IRIS and Xero accounting software. The ideal candidate possesses in\-depth knowledge of UK VAT, Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), and compliance standards, ensuring all client accounts adhere to the necessary regulatory frameworks. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle varied bookkeeping and financial reporting tasks for several clients simultaneously are essential for success in this position. This full\-time role is based in Rawalpindi and demands a detail\-oriented professional capable of preparing management accounts, assisting with year\-end financial statements, and managing HMRC correspondence efficiently. Although this position does not involve team management, effective communication skills are necessary for client coordination and to support Corporation Tax and Self\-Assessment processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and submitting statutory reports within designated deadlines. **Responsibilities** * Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including sales, purchases, and bank reconciliations, for multiple UK\-based clients using IRIS and Xero. * Prepare and submit VAT returns ensuring full compliance with HM Revenue \& Customs regulations. * Manage Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) records and filings in line with UK legal requirements. * Prepare monthly management accounts that provide insightful financial information to clients and assist in decision\-making. * Assist with year\-end accounts preparation utilizing IRIS software to ensure accuracy and timeliness of submissions. * Maintain comprehensive client records and financial data using IRIS and Xero accounting platforms. * Handle all basic HMRC correspondence and respond to client queries related to VAT, CIS, and other accounting matters promptly and accurately. * Support Corporation Tax computations and Self\-Assessment tax return processes to facilitate accurate client submissions. * Organize and prioritize multiple client accounts to meet tight deadlines effectively without compromising quality. * Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, tax laws, and reporting obligations to minimize risk and maintain client trust. * Develop and maintain strong communication channels with clients to gather necessary financial information and provide updates on accounting matters. * Continuously update personal knowledge of changes in UK accounting regulations, VAT legislation, and tax codes relevant to client needs. * Apply strong time management skills to efficiently handle multi\-client portfolios and deliver financial services consistently. * Collaborate with other professionals as needed to support complex accounting assignments requiring cross\-functional expertise.
