Our client Sardar Group of Companies is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant \- Construction Sector Expertise in Islamabad Sardar Group of Companies is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant with extensive expertise in the construction sector. The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in construction, real estate, and housing society projects and is qualified as a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) or Cost and Management Accountant (ICMA). This role demands a strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and proficiency in MS Excel along with accounting software. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for managing project finances especially in construction sector, identifying cost\-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards. As part of the leadership Responsibilities , the candidate will manage a team of three professionals, providing guidance and oversight on cost management activities. The role requires an analytical mindset and excellent communication skills to reconcile project accounts, monitor cash flow, and support internal and external audi, indicating a necessity to integrate cost data with technical project elements. Proficiency in cost optimization and AWS Cost Explorer adds strategic value to managing financial resources efficiently within complex construction projects. **Responsibilities** * Develop and maintain detailed cost accounting records for construction, real estate, and housing society projects ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. * Lead and supervise a team of three cost accounting professionals, fostering collaboration and ensuring timely completion of deliverables. * Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost\-saving opportunities, and recommend actionable financial improvements to project management and senior leadership. * Prepare comprehensive financial reports reflecting project costs, variances, and forecasts tailored to the company’s requirements. * Collaborate with project engineers and design teams using AutoCAD and related 3D modeling tools to integrate cost data with project specifications and changes. * Oversee and ensure adherence to company financial policies and statutory requirements throughout the project lifecycle. * Manage reconciliation of project accounts, monitor cash flow requirements, and ensure timely payments to vendors and contractors. * Utilize AWS Cost Explorer and other cost optimization tools to monitor and control project expenditures effectively. * Support and coordinate internal and external audit processes by providing accurate documentation and clarifications related to project finances. * Use advanced MS Excel techniques, including modeling and data analysis, to support financial planning and decision\-making. * Maintain up\-to\-date knowledge of cost accounting trends, construction industry standards, and financial regulations relevant to the sector. * Communicate effectively with cross\-functional teams, stakeholders, and external parties to ensure transparency and alignment on financial matters. * Implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing cost accounting efficiency and accuracy within projects.
