JOB PURPOSE
To plan, direct, and oversee the entire construction project from inception to completion, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead overall planning, scheduling, and execution of the construction project.
- Coordinate and supervise all site staff, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and government authorities.
- Review and approve project drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Monitor project progress against schedule and take corrective action on delays.
- Chair progress meetings and issue reports to management and clients.
- Resolve on-site issues, disputes, and technical problems promptly.
- Ensure timely procurement, delivery, and utilization of materials and resources.
QUALIFICATIONS \& REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 8-12 years of experience in construction/project management, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts (FIDIC preferred), and safety standards.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera and MS Office.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
