Planning Engineer – Construction
Fulcrum Our Client – Construction Industry
Department: Project Controls
Reports To: Project / Construction Manager
Job Purpose
To develop, monitor, and update project schedules, ensuring project activities are properly sequenced, tracked, and reported to keep projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain project schedules using
Primavera P6 / MS Project
.
- Develop baseline programs and track progress against planned milestones.
- Analyze critical path activities and schedule risks.
- Prepare progress reports, S-curves, and manpower/resource histograms.
- Coordinate with site teams to collect progress data and update schedules.
- Identify delays, analyze causes, and recommend recovery plans.
- Assist in preparing
Extension of Time (EOT)
claims and supporting documentation.
- Track material and resource requirements against project timelines.
- Prepare periodic reports for management and client presentations.
- Coordinate with procurement and engineering teams for schedule alignment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in
Civil Engineering
or related field.
- 3–6 years
of experience in project planning/scheduling within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in
Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is mandatory
.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and MS Excel skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
