About the Role
We are seeking a Lawyer (Freelancer) with expertise in both U.S. and Indian legal systems to support advanced AI evaluation and legal intelligence initiatives.
In this role, you will work with AI-generated legal content, helping improve how AI systems understand, analyze, compare, and generate legal information across multiple jurisdictions.
You will evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs related to contracts, legal research, compliance documents, regulatory frameworks, legal summaries, case analyses, policy documents, corporate governance, and legal communications. Your expertise will directly contribute to the development of AI systems used in legal technology, compliance automation, knowledge management, and legal research platforms.
Candidates with hands-on experience working with both U.S. and Indian law firms, multinational corporations, legal consulting firms, or cross-border legal matters are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality legal deliverables addressing common legal scenarios and professional use cases
- Review, annotate, and evaluate AI-generated legal content for accuracy, completeness, clarity, and legal reasoning
- Assess AI outputs related to U.S. and Indian laws, contracts, legal research, compliance frameworks, legal summaries, policies, and legal correspondence
- Compare and evaluate jurisdiction-specific legal interpretations across both countries
- Identify legal inaccuracies, reasoning gaps, ambiguous interpretations, compliance risks, and unsupported conclusions
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI-generated legal analysis and documentation
- Review peer-generated legal deliverables to ensure consistency and research quality
- Contribute domain expertise to improve AI systems focused on legal reasoning, legal knowledge retrieval, and regulatory understanding
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), LLM, or equivalent legal qualification
- 3+ years of experience working with both U.S. and Indian legal systems (preferred)
- Strong understanding of legal research, legal drafting, contracts, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with U.S. federal and state laws and Indian legal frameworks
- Experience working in law firms, corporate legal departments, compliance functions, legal consulting firms, or multinational organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to critically evaluate legal content and identify factual, logical, and compliance-related issues
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with legal research tools, legal databases, and document review processes
- Ability to work independently in a remote and fast-paced environment
