Our mission is to build reliable, safe, and impactful AI technologies through expert\-driven evaluation and domain\-specific knowledge. **About the Role** We are seeking a Legal Counsel (Freelancer) to support advanced AI evaluation initiatives focused on legal reasoning, contract analysis, compliance, policy interpretation, legal research, and professional legal communication. In this role, you will work with AI\-generated legal content and assessments, helping improve how AI systems understand, analyze, and generate legal information across various domains. Your expertise will contribute to the development of AI systems used in legal technology, contract intelligence, compliance automation, regulatory analysis, and legal research applications. **Responsibilities** * Create high\-quality deliverables addressing legal scenarios, research tasks, and professional legal workflows * Review, annotate, and evaluate AI\-generated legal content for accuracy, completeness, and legal soundness * Assess AI outputs involving contracts, agreements, compliance requirements, legal memoranda, policy documents, and regulatory interpretations * Identify legal inaccuracies, reasoning gaps, inconsistencies, ambiguous language, and compliance risks in AI\-generated content * Provide structured feedback to improve legal reasoning, analysis, and communication quality within AI systems * Review peer\-developed deliverables to ensure consistency and quality across evaluation projects * Support workflows involving legal research, contract review, compliance analysis, policy drafting, risk assessment, and legal documentation * Contribute subject matter expertise to improve AI systems focused on legal understanding and professional legal assistance **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent legal qualification * Experience as a Legal Counsel, Advocate, Legal Associate, Compliance Professional, or related legal role * Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law, compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and legal research methodologies * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English * Ability to critically analyze legal documents and assess legal reasoning with strong attention to detail * Familiarity with legal drafting, contract review, policy analysis, and legal advisory work * Strong analytical thinking, judgment, and problem\-solving skills * Ability to work independently in a remote, fast\-paced environment * Prior exposure to legal technology, AI\-assisted legal tools, or regulatory technology is a plus **Why Join Us** * Competitive hourly pay: ₹1,200/hour * Fully remote with flexible working hours * Opportunity to contribute to cutting\-edge AI and legal technology research * Exposure to advanced AI systems focused on legal reasoning, compliance, and contract intelligence * Flexible project\-based opportunities with global teams * Collaborate with experts shaping the future of AI\-powered legal solutions
