Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven
Sales Manager
to lead sales and distribution operations for a growing Seasoning \& Salt FMCG business. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in FMCG sales, distributor management, retail expansion, team leadership, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Manage and expand the
distributor, wholesaler, and retail network
.
- Drive
primary and secondary sales
, market coverage, product availability, and distribution growth.
- Develop
General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT)
channels.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team and monitor KPIs.
- Conduct regular market visits to evaluate sales execution, pricing, product availability, visibility, and competitor activities.
- Plan and execute trade promotions, merchandising, and market activation activities.
- Monitor distributor stock, order booking, sales performance, collections, and outstanding payments.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, territory plans, and sales reports.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and opportunities for market expansion.
- Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure product availability.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
- Support new product launches and drive market penetration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5–8 years of relevant FMCG Sales experience
, preferably in
Seasoning, Salt, Spices, Staples, Packaged Foods, or Food Manufacturing
.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing distribution channels.
- Strong knowledge of
GT, MT, distribution, route-to-market, and secondary sales
.
- Experience in managing and developing sales teams.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel for market visits and business development.
