Our client National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) is looking for a Civil Engineer \- Small\-Scale Infrastructure Projects in Hyderabad NRSP \- Project This position requires comprehensive knowledge in structural analysis, site surveying, and effective project management. The Civil Engineer ensures all infrastructure initiatives align with design specifications and safeguard policies, delivering sustainable and resilient solutions to rural communities. By providing continuous technical inputs, the engineer enhances the capacity of local teams and promotes best practices in infrastructure development. The role plays a strategic part in capacity\-building efforts by training local supervisors, ensuring skill transfer, and promoting compliance with all regulatory requirements. The engineer also collaborates closely with stakeholders to optimize resources and impact while maintaining a high level of professionalism and technical excellence. **Responsibilities** * Plan, design, and supervise the construction and maintenance of small\-scale infrastructure projects including drains, bunds, and ponds to support rural development objectives. * Conduct detailed site surveys and structural analysis to ensure the safety, quality, and sustainability of infrastructure projects. * Manage and oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient completion of projects within scope and standards. * Ensure all projects comply with environmental and social safeguards as mandated by development partners such as ADB, bilateral agencies, or CSOs. * Provide technical guidance and support to a team of 15 persons including engineers, supervisors, and field staff to optimize project outcomes. * Collaborate with community stakeholders and local authorities to incorporate community needs and feedback into project designs and implementation plans. * Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation to maintain transparency and facilitate informed decision\-making. * Train and mentor local supervisors and field teams in technical skills, project management practices, and compliance procedures to build local capacity. * Monitor project performance and conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring adherence to quality standards. * Coordinate with funding agencies and partners to align project strategies, technical approaches, and reporting requirements. * Implement risk management strategies to address potential issues related to project delivery, safety, or environmental impacts. * Promote a culture of continuous improvement by integrating new technologies, methodologies, and best practices into project workflows. * Lead and motivate the project team by providing clear direction, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment. * Support the development and implementation of training materials and knowledge\-sharing platforms to enhance team expertise. * Ensure that all construction activities follow applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to small\-scale infrastructure.
