Chief Resident Engineer

Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Chief Resident Engineer to oversee the construction supervision and management of a major infrastructure project. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead a team and contribute to a significant undertaking. **This is a contractual position.** **Key Responsibilities** * **Lead** and direct the on\-site engineering team, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to project specifications, design drawings, and contractual obligations. * **Oversee** all aspects of construction, including site execution, monitoring, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and risk management for the project. * **Manage** and administer construction contracts, including FIDIC\-based contracts, and ensure compliance with project timelines, budgets, and change management processes. * **Conduct** regular design reviews and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and submittals, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with relevant standards. * **Effectively** coordinate with stakeholders, clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project execution and ensure alignment with project objectives. * **Prepare** comprehensive progress reports, monitor project schedules, and manage claims and variation orders. * **Champion** and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment throughout the project lifecycle. **Required Qualifications** **Experience \& Education** * Minimum of **20 years** of progressive experience in civil engineering and construction supervision, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large\-scale infrastructure projects. * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. **Skills** * **Demonstrated Technical Expertise** in Dam, Hydraulic Structures, Water Resources Engineering and related infrastructure projects. * **Expertise** in Engineering Design, Project Management, and Problem Solving. * **Proven ability** in Risk Assessment, Team Leadership, and Communication. * **Solid understanding** of Budget Management, Quality Control, and Analytical Skills. * **Extensive experience** in Construction Supervision, Management, and Contract Administration (FIDIC). * **Strong proficiency** in Project Leadership, Team Management, Design Review, Approval, Site Execution, Monitoring, Quality Assurance, Quality Control (QA/QC), Risk and Issue Management. * **Effective** Stakeholder and Client Coordination skills. * **Knowledge** of HSE and Regulatory Compliance. * **Expertise** in Progress Reporting, Scheduling, Claims, and Variation Management. * **Ability** to work onsite. **Preferred Qualifications** * Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification. * Experience with mega projects. * Proficiency in both English and Urdu. **What We Offer** We offer a **competitive compensation** package commensurate with experience and expertise.
