Role: Accounting Trainer
We are looking for a knowledgeable and engaging
Accounting Trainer
to join Upskill Training Services in Islamabad, Pakistan.
This is a
full-time, on-site role
focused on delivering practical accounting and finance training to learners at different levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching accounting concepts, demonstrating their practical application, and training learners on commonly used accounting and finance software.
The trainer should be able to combine strong accounting knowledge with practical software skills and present complex concepts in a clear, structured, and learner-friendly manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and workshop-based training in Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, and related business subjects.
- Prepare structured lesson plans, presentations, exercises, case studies, assignments, and assessments.
- Teach both theoretical accounting concepts and their practical application in real business environments.
- Provide practical training on accounting and finance software, including:

Sage 50 Accounts
*
Sage 50 Payroll
*
Microsoft Excel
*
QuickBooks
*
Xero
- Other commonly used accounting and bookkeeping software where relevant.
- Train learners in practical accounting processes such as:
- Bookkeeping and double-entry accounting
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT and tax-related accounting processes
- Payroll processing
- Trial balance preparation
- Accruals and prepayments
- Depreciation and fixed assets
- Financial statements
- Management accounts
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Cash flow analysis
- Teach practical Excel skills used within accounting and finance, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, data analysis, financial calculations, and reporting.
- Demonstrate how accounting transactions are recorded and processed within accounting software.
- Assess learner progress through practical tasks, assignments, quizzes, examinations, and software-based exercises.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to support learner development.
- Identify learners who require additional support and provide appropriate coaching and guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance, assessment results, progress, and outcomes.
- Regularly review and update training materials to reflect current accounting standards, regulations, software developments, and industry practices.
- Collaborate with other trainers and management to improve course content and training methodologies.
- Create a professional, supportive, and interactive learning environment.
- Encourage learners to develop practical accounting, analytical, problem-solving, and workplace skills.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct, accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical practice.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in
Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline
.
- Professional accounting qualification or certification such as
ACCA, CIMA, CA, CPA, CMA, AAT, or equivalent
is highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of
Financial Accounting and Management Accounting
.
- Good understanding of finance principles and their application within business environments.
- Practical knowledge of accounting processes including bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and management accounting.
- Previous experience in
academic teaching, professional training, corporate training, coaching, or accounting practice
is highly desirable.
- Experience developing lesson plans, training materials, assignments, and learner assessments.
- Ability to explain complex accounting concepts in a simple, structured, and practical way.
Software and Technical Skills
Candidates should ideally have practical experience with some or all of the following:

Preference will be given to candidates who have practical experience working within an accounting or finance environment and who can train learners not only in accounting theory but also in the software and processes commonly used by employers.
