Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role

Mavericks United is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop, deploy, and optimize AI/ML solutions for global clients. This is a highly client-facing role requiring not only strong technical expertise but also exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable leading technical discussions, gathering requirements, presenting solutions, and working directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, train, and deploy machine learning models for real-world applications.
• Develop and maintain scalable ML pipelines and production-ready AI systems.
• Work with large datasets to perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Optimize model performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into effective AI/ML solutions.
• Lead technical discussions with clients and provide recommendations based on project needs.
• Present model results, project updates, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar.
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG systems, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, NLP, and predictive modeling.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices and model deployment pipelines.
• Experience working with SQL, NoSQL databases, and large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and version control systems.

Communication Requirements

• Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to confidently communicate with international clients in meetings and day-to-day interactions.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain complex AI/ML concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable leading client calls, gathering requirements, and providing technical consultation.
• Professional, proactive, and highly responsive communication style.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working directly with international clients.
• Experience with LLM applications, AI agents, chatbots, and enterprise AI solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
