Senior Engineer-Road Construction (Civil Engineering)

**Job Purpose** Oversee the design and construction of road infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient delivery from initiation through to handover while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. **Key Responsibilities** * Oversee road construction projects from initiation to handover, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and quality standards * Monitor project progress, conduct schedule variance analysis, and implement corrective actions for delays * Review and evaluate engineering designs, drawings, and traffic diversion plans * Ensure compliance with project specifications, material standards, and QA/QC procedures across all phases * Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality, safety, and progress * Identify and manage project risks, maintain risk registers, and implement mitigation strategies * Coordinate with internal departments, government authorities, consultants, and contractors * Lead project meetings, establish communication plans, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation * Oversee project handover activities, including inspections, snag resolution, and Defect Notification Period (DNP) follow\-up. * Ensure adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and information security standards **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field * Minimum 8 years of experience in roads/highways construction and project management. **Key Skills \& Competencies** * Strong expertise in project management and construction supervision * In\-depth knowledge of road and highway infrastructure projects * Proficiency in quality control, inspection, and testing standards * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills * Strong analytical and problem\-solving capabilities * Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast\-paced environment
