Our client U.C.C (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a Senior Accountant \- SAP ERP \& Financial Reporting in Islamabad
U.C.C (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a detail\-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in accounting, with strong expertise in managing general ledger activities, accounts payable and receivable processes, and bank reconciliations using SAP ERP systems. This role requires a professional who can maintain accurate financial records while supporting project costing and budgeting efforts specifically tailored to construction projects. The Accountant will play a key role in preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and monitoring cash flow to maintain the financial health of the company.
The Accountant position does not involve team management but requires effective collaboration across departments to track and allocate expenses accurately. The candidate must be proficient in using accounting software and demonstrate strong analytical skills to assist in monthly and yearly financial reporting cycles. Meeting deadlines, maintaining compliance with taxation laws in Pakistan, and managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules are essential Responsibilities
of this role. The ability to handle complex financial transactions and contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounting process is critical to supporting the operations of U.C.C (Pvt) Ltd.
**Responsibilities**
* Maintain and update financial records accurately using SAP Business One accounting software.
* Manage project\-specific costing and budgeting processes for various construction projects to ensure appropriate financial tracking.
* Prepare and post journal entries, vouchers, and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
* Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing and payments.
* Conduct regular bank reconciliations and monitor company cash flow to maintain liquidity and financial stability.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Ensure strict compliance with all applicable tax regulations in Pakistan, including Sales Tax, Income Tax, and Withholding Tax (WHT).
* Monitor and analyze operating expenses, allocate costs accurately to specific projects or departments to support financial planning.
* Maintain and update the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation schedules in line with accounting standards.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data and support internal and external audits.
* Continuously review accounting procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
* Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings and ensure timely submission of all statutory financial reports.
