Senior Accountant - Manufacturing Industry

*Compensation Package:* *$80,000-$85,000 + annual bonus + 3 weeks’ vacation + health benefits package + onsite parking*

*Location:* *Innisfil, Ontario* *(3 days in office | 2 days work from home)*

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounts
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Support cost accounting functions, including product costing, variance analysis, and margin analysis
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Prepare and submit tax filings, returns, and regulatory reports as required
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
