Machine Learning / Software Developer Engineer

Role context

We are working with an a major automotive engineering organisation. They are looking for a self-driven Machine Learning / C++ Software Developer Consultant to join their algorithm team in Gothenburg.

This is a primarily on-site role with some flexibility over time. You will take ownership of your work, building, training, and deploying ML models that support real-world safety applications. The role requires autonomy, initiative, and comfort solving complex problems independently.

What you will be doing

• Train, validate, and optimize ML models for vision-based applications.
• Own the data pipeline end to end, including cleaning, augmentation, and dataset sourcing.
• Write high-performance C++ code for deployment on embedded platforms.
• Own features from early concept through production.
• Collaborate with local and international engineering teams on computer vision challenges.

What we are looking for

• Hands-on experience training ML models for real-world vision problems.
• Strong C or C++ development skills.
• Self-starter mindset with proven ability to deliver with minimal supervision.
• Experience deploying models beyond experimental environments.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Maths, or related field.
• Willingness to work on-site in Sweden.
