Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) have a consulting assignment available for an FEM / Structural Analysis Engineer to support a leading space engineering organisation delivering advanced satellite and spacecraft programmes.
For this role you must be a Swedish or NATO citizen.

Currently, we're looking for an FEM / Structural Analysis Engineer with strong experience in finite element modelling and structural verification within the space, satellite, aerospace, or defence sectors.
This role is suited to an experienced analyst who can combine advanced simulation expertise with a practical understanding of spacecraft structures and environmental qualification requirements.
You will work closely with design engineers, systems teams, testing departments and project stakeholders to verify the structural integrity and performance of complex space hardware.
The successful consultant will play a key role in structural analysis activities across satellite and spacecraft development programmes, supporting design validation, qualification testing and mission-critical engineering decisions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Developing and maintaining detailed finite element models for satellite and spacecraft structures
- Performing structural analysis to support design verification and qualification activities
- Conducting random vibration, shock, static and dynamic load analyses
- Performing modal analysis to assess structural behaviour and response characteristics
- Supporting environmental qualification campaigns including vibration and shock testing
- Reviewing test data and correlating analytical models with physical test results
- Supporting structural verification activities throughout the product development lifecycle
- Working closely with mechanical design, systems engineering and test teams
- Contributing to design reviews and providing technical recommendations to improve structural performance
- Ensuring analysis activities comply with programme and customer requirements
What We're Looking For:
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong background in Finite Element Analysis (FEA/FEM)
- Experience within the satellite, space, aerospace or defence sectors
- Expert-level experience using NASTRAN
- Strong proficiency with Altair HyperMesh
- Experience using OptiStruct
- Proven capability in FEM modelling and structural analysis of complex engineering systems
- Experience conducting random vibration analysis, shock analysis and modal analysis
- Experience performing static and dynamic load assessments
- Strong understanding of structural verification methodologies
- Ability to communicate technical findings to multidisciplinary engineering teams
Desirable Experience:
- Experience working on satellite structures, payloads or spacecraft equipment
- Previous involvement in spacecraft environmental qualification programmes
- Experience correlating FEM models with vibration and shock test results
- Knowledge of space industry standards and qualification requirements
- Experience working within highly regulated aerospace or defence environments
Assignment Details:
- Location: Onsite
- Working Model: 5 days per week on-site
- Contract Length: Initial 6-month assignment
- Start Date: Immediate
- Hours: 40 hours per week
