About the role
As a Senior Legal Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting GSM's expansion and operations across Europe by ensuring legal compliance, managing regulatory requirements, and providing practical legal guidance to business stakeholders. You will work closely with management, operations, HR, finance, and external legal partners to identify and mitigate legal risks while enabling business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance to management and business teams on corporate, commercial, employment, and operational matters.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, policies, procedures, and other legal documents to ensure compliance and protect the company's interests.
- Support business expansion activities and ensure compliance with local laws and regulatory requirements across European markets.
- Manage licensing, permits, registrations, and other regulatory requirements necessary for business operations.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments, assess their impact, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Develop and maintain compliance frameworks, policies, and legal governance documents.
- Conduct compliance reviews and monitor the implementation of compliance checklists across markets.
- Coordinate with external legal counsels, government authorities, and regulatory bodies when required.
- Deliver legal training and provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Identify legal risks and propose effective mitigation measures to support business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law; legal qualification or bar admission is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in legal, compliance, or corporate governance roles.
- Strong experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Experience handling licensing, regulatory compliance, and corporate legal matters.
- Familiarity with multi-country operations and international business environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, risk assessment, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent English communication and legal drafting skills. Native language is a must.
