**Job Description:**
Insight Global is seeking a security\-conscious DevOps Specialist to join one of the largest defense contractors in the world. The ideal candidate will have experience with the
**Atlassian**
suite, a strong understanding of the
**Risk Management Framework (RMF)**
, and a strong background across both Linux and Windows environments.
**This role requires an active Secret Clearance**
and is responsible for maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of classified information systems.
**Responsibilities
:**
* Install, secure, and maintain DevOps and IT systems in coordination with engineering teams
* Ensure compliance with NISPOM, JSIG, NIST, DAAG, CCRI, and RMF standards; support audits and assessments
* Configure and harden Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments
* Manage RMF documentation and security tools (e.g., SIMS, eMASS)
* Conduct vulnerability assessments, monitor audit logs, and support incident response
* Deliver user security training and stay current on evolving requirements
* Partner with ISSM/FSO to maintain system compliance
**Must\-Haves
:**
* Hands\-on experience with Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) supporting DevOps workflows and engineering collaboration
* Strong experience operating within the Risk Management Framework (RMF), including system hardening, compliance, and authorization documentation
* Proven background in DevOps practices and tools, including installation, configuration, and maintenance in secure environments
* Experience with DevOps toolchain components (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket)
* Expertise managing and securing Windows, Linux, and UNIX systems in regulated environments
* Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Podman)
* Experience with security tools and databases such as SIMS and eMASS
* Experience using cybersecurity tools such as ACAS (Nessus), STIG Viewer, SCAP, and Splunk
* Knowledge of security frameworks and directives (e.g., NISPOM, DAAG, JSIG, ICD)
* Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments, analyze audit logs, and support incident response
* Strong understanding of network infrastructure, architecture, and protocols
**Pluses
:**
* Relevant certifications such as Network\+, CCNA, CISSP, or RHCSA
* Familiarity with Cisco Call Manager and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems
