**About The Role**
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Manager to join our team and take ownership of our benefits and compliance programs. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our employees have a seamless experience with their benefits while maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws. Acting as a trusted partner to the VP of People, you will serve as a key resource for employees and leadership on matters related to benefits administration, HR compliance, and operational support. Your contributions will be instrumental in safeguarding the company’s interests, supporting our people, and shaping how we deliver benefits as we scale. This role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to influence HR practices in a growing organization committed to employee well\-being and legal compliance.
**Qualifications**
* 4–7\+ years of experience in Human Resources, particularly in benefits administration and compliance
* Hands\-on experience managing employee benefits programs, including open enrollment processes
* Deep knowledge of U.S. employment laws and benefits regulations such as ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and FMLA
* Proficiency with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms
* Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex topics clearly and empathetically
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross\-functional teams including Finance and Operations
* Experience supporting multi\-state employment compliance (preferred)
* Relevant certifications such as PHR, SHRM\-CP, or similar (preferred)
**Responsibilities**
* Manage day\-to\-day administration of all employee benefit programs including medical, life, disability, retirement, and wellness benefits
* Coordinate with brokers and vendors on plan renewals, changes, enrollments, and issue resolution
* Lead and facilitate annual open enrollment processes, including employee communications, education, and system configurations
* Ensure accuracy of benefits data, monitor eligibility, and maintain payroll integrations
* Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits and HR policies
* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws such as ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and FMLA
* Manage benefits\-related compliance filings, audits, and reporting requirements
* Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and required postings for multiple jurisdictions
* Monitor changes in regulations and recommend updates to policies and processes proactively
* Support employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, background checks, offboarding, and leave management
* Assist with workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and related documentation
* Maintain accurate, confidential employee records within HRIS systems
* Identify opportunities to streamline HR and benefits processes through automation and system enhancements
* Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and external partners to optimize HR operations
* Contribute to broader organizational people initiatives and support company growth
