Garmin Canada values its employees and is dedicated to providing opportunities for professional growth and development within a supportive organizational culture. **About The Role** Garmin Canada is seeking a dedicated HR professional to join its team, responsible for building strong relationships with hiring managers to facilitate the recruitment and onboarding of moderately complex positions. This role involves proactive sourcing of candidates through various channels, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process to ensure the acquisition of high\-quality talent. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and associates, providing coaching and counseling on employee relations issues, performance management, and conflict resolution. Additionally, this position entails conducting internal investigations, delivering corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and legislation. The HR professional will also participate in strategic projects, support process improvements, and contribute to fostering a positive and productive work environment aligned with Garmin’s mission, vision, and values. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with at least 1 year of pertinent experience * Demonstrated understanding of HR legislation, practices, processes, and technology * Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Proven passion for recruitment and talent acquisition * Experience in conflict resolution and employee relations * Ability to mentor and train team members * Detail\-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills * Effective presentation and public speaking abilities * Flexibility to travel up to 10% of the time * Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in HR matters * Proficiency in HRIS systems, data analysis, and reporting * Strong critical reasoning and problem\-solving skills * High academic achievement with a GPA of 3\.0 or higher (if applicable) **Responsibilities** * Serve as the primary HR contact for manager/director level staff, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures * Proactively source and attract qualified candidates through job boards, social media, professional networks, job fairs, and vendor partnerships * Design and implement innovative recruitment strategies, including marketing campaigns, informational sessions, and participation in professional organizations * Counsel managers and associates on employee relations issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and corrective actions * Conduct internal investigations into employee concerns or conflicts, partnering with legal when necessary * Deliver disciplinary actions, including corrective measures and termination decisions, ensuring fairness and compliance * Conduct exit interviews and manage unemployment claim hearings to gather insights and improve retention strategies * Maintain accurate and thorough documentation within Garmin’s Applicant Tracking System, ensuring data integrity and compliance * Ensure adherence to HR\-related legislation, policies, and procedures, with oversight from HR management and legal counsel * Collaborate with vendors and external partners to explore solutions and enhance HR service delivery * Contribute to the development and revision of the employee handbook and HR policies annually * Participate in cross\-functional teams to achieve organizational goals and improve HR processes * Gather and analyze HR data to recommend and implement effective business solutions * Mentor and train less experienced HR team members to foster professional growth * Provide excellent customer service to employees and business partners, ensuring a positive employee experience * Demonstrate commitment to Garmin’s mission, values, and quality standards in all activities **Benefits** * Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package * Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage * Retirement savings plan with company contributions * Paid time off and holiday leave * Professional development and training opportunities * Employee wellness programs and initiatives * Flexible work arrangements where applicable * Participation in Garmin’s corporate social responsibility and community engagement activities Equal Opportunity Garmin Canada is an equal opportunity employer.
