The HR function partners closely with facility leadership to support approximately 175 employees across the manufacturing plant and nearby warehouse.
About the Role
Premier Pan is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function for its manufacturing plant and nearby warehouse in Crescent, Pennsylvania. Reporting to the VP of HR and Company Shareholder, with a strong dotted-line relationship to the Bundy Baking Solutions Global VP of HR, this role provides strategic and hands-on HR leadership across employee relations, recruitment, compensation and benefits, training, performance management, payroll, HRIS, workforce planning, workers' compensation, and compliance. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to management, implement corporate HR initiatives, and lead process improvements, change management, and culture-building initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Human Resources function for the manufacturing facility and nearby warehouse.
- Provide HR leadership and strategic partnership to facility operations.
- Manage employee relations, workplace communication, and conflict resolution.
- Advise management on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal employment laws.
- Lead recruitment, workforce planning, and staffing initiatives.
- Manage training, employee development, and performance management programs.
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration.
- Support payroll and HRIS processes.
- Manage workers' compensation activities.
- Implement corporate HR programs and initiatives at the facility level.
- Lead change management and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Improve HR processes, procedures, and operational effectiveness.
- Support the development and maintenance of a positive workplace culture.
- Investigate employee concerns objectively and implement appropriate resolutions.
- Partner with leaders and employees across manufacturing operations.
- Manage additional HR projects and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- At least 5 years of onsite HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience partnering closely with leaders and employees across one or multiple sites.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws and their relationship to company policies.
- Experience with employee relations, conflict resolution, coaching, and investigations.
- Experience supporting organizational transformation and culture development.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with HRIS software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent negotiation, persuasion, collaboration, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Strong time management, project planning, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a closely related field.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience working in a family-owned or family-operated business.
- Experience using Paycom HRIS.
- PHR or SPHR certification.
- Demonstrated success building and sustaining positive workplace cultures.
- Experience leading organizational change and HR process transformation.
- Strong ability to coach managers and resolve complex employee relations matters.
- Experience supporting HR operations across manufacturing facilities or multiple locations.
