HR Manager | Automotive Manufacturing
Are you an HR leader who enjoys working close to the business, building trust with employees, and turning people initiatives into measurable operational results?
Our client, a division of a global automotive manufacturing company, is hiring an HR Manager for a growing Greater Indianapolis-area facility. With more than 400 employees in a non-union environment, this position is ideal for a hands-on professional who can balance strategic partnership with strong day-to-day execution.
You will lead a seven-person HR team supporting Generalist, Payroll, and Benefits responsibilities while serving as a key advisor to plant leadership.
Key Areas of Impact
- Build and execute programs that improve employee engagement, communication, and retention.
- Advise leadership on employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Lead all major people processes, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll oversight, benefits coordination, and FMLA administration.
- Help ensure HR practices meet corporate requirements and support the site’s operating goals.
- Review, refine, and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Create an environment where employees and managers have clear, timely, and effective HR support.
Desired Background
- 7+ years in Human Resources, with prior experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager.
- Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with recruiting, employee relations, benefits, payroll, internal communications, and talent management.
- Demonstrated experience handling FMLA, policy administration, and complex employee concerns.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
