Electrical Design Engineer

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer to strengthen our engineering team.** **Scope of Role** As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and validating electrical design documentation and calculations across multiple engineering platforms. The role ensures accuracy, consistency, and compliance with engineering standards across schematics, layouts, part lists, and system calculations. You will work closely with cross\-functional teams to support electrical design integrity and system performance. **Main Responsibilities** * Update and maintain electrical schematics and layouts, ensuring accurate location coding (EPLAN, AutoCAD). * Develop and modify electrical drawings according to project specifications. * Manage and validate electrical part lists, ensuring consistency and completeness of BOMs. * Extract and verify data generated from EPLAN outputs. * Perform and validate cable sizing and related calculations (El\-vis tool). * Support energy consumption calculations and related documentation. * Maintain and update IP addressing within electrical documentation. * Perform and validate Performance Level (PL) calculations in line with safety standards (Sistema). * Develop and maintain electrical topology diagrams (Visio). * Ensure consistency of location codes across all tools and documentation platforms. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to ensure alignment with system architecture and engineering requirements. **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. * 3–6 years of experience in electrical design engineering. * Strong knowledge of electrical system design, industrial automation, and control panel engineering. * Experience in developing and maintaining electrical schematics, layouts, and topology documentation. * Good understanding of electrical safety standards, Performance Level (PL), and risk reduction principles. * Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or automotive environments. * Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross\-functional teams. **Tools \& Skills** * EPLAN – electrical schematics and part list generation * AutoCAD – electrical layouts * El\-vis – cable calculations * Sistema – performance level calculations * Visio – topology documentation * Strong knowledge of location code management and data consistency across tools * Experience working with global teams and customer\-specific standards * Proficiency in English, both written and spoken **Personal Qualities** * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills * Detail\-oriented with a structured approach to work * Effective communication and collaboration skills * Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast\-paced environment * Proactive and self\-driven mindset * Comfortable working in cross\-functional and international teams If you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on then we would love to hear from you. **Tata Technologies: Engineering a better world.** *Tata Technologies would like to thank all applicants for their interest; each application will be reviewed against the set criteria for the role.
