Our world\-class consultants enable organizations to realize the power of the integrated enterprise by providing superior consulting and implementation services. **The Role:** The Data Scientist will join the Vehicle Propulsion and Energy Data Analytics team, focusing on high‑voltage batteries and electric drive systems. This role plays a key part in improving vehicle quality and customer experience by transforming large‑scale fleet data into actionable insights for developers and product designers. You will work closely with a collaborative, enthusiastic team and apply advanced data science techniques to deliver faster, more reliable feedback on software and hardware performance. **Area of Responsibility** * Perform exploratory and confirmatory statistical analysis on large fleet datasets to understand vehicle and battery behavior * Build predictive models using machine learning and statistical techniques to assess and forecast vehicle system performance * Develop clear, insightful data visualizations to communicate complex findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders * Write, review, and maintain high‑quality Python code following best practices * Design and maintain dashboards and automated analytics pipelines to provide continuous feedback on software and hardware quality * Collaborate closely with engineers, developers, and product teams to support data‑driven decisions * Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing and team development **Knowledge / Experience** **Core Skills** * Strong experience in exploratory and statistical data analysis * Proficiency in Python with clean, readable, and maintainable coding practices * Experience with PySpark, SQL, and ETL data pipelines * Hands‑on experience with scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and Polars * Data visualization expertise using Matplotlib and Seaborn * Familiarity with Databricks, Jupyter notebooks, and distributed computing environments * Basic proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows **Desirable / Meritorious Skills** * Experience in the automotive, diagnostics, or vehicle data domain * Knowledge of high‑voltage battery systems, including analytics, design, assembly, or repair * Applied experience with machine learning and statistical modeling * Experience developing software on Linux systems * Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS **If you are passionate about bringing innovation to the projects you work on and want to join a global company, then this is the place for you.** **Tata Technologies: Engineering a better world.**
