Educational Assistant - Special Education at Bower Elementary (26-27 School Year)

**Educational Assistant \- Special Education** **Qualifications** * 18 years of age * High school diploma or equivalent. * Meets "Highly Qualified" paraprofessional standards. * Satisfactory background check. * Pass drug screening. **Duties May Include But Are Not Limited To** * Assist in the educational and social\-emotional development of students under the guidance of the classroom teacher/case manager. * Carry out instructional plans as prepared by the supervising teacher. * Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans for students. * Provide support and assistance for students inside and outside the classroom to facilitate learning and participation. * Assist classroom teacher with data collection. * Support students with behavioral and/or emotional needs. * Assist classroom teacher in preparing work for students. * Assist with providing modifications and accommodations as appropriate. * Assist students with self\-help skills. * Assist Students with mobility needs. * Physically assist with lifting and positioning of students with physical needs. * Maintain student confidentiality. * Work cooperatively as a member of the educational team.
