DevOps Engineer

**DevOps Engineer (Terraform\-Focused) – Cloud \& Data Platform** **Halifax (2–3 days onsite per week)** **Role Overview** We are seeking a **DevOps Engineer (Terraform\-focused)** to join a **Cloud \& Data Platform engineering team** within a Capital Markets environment. This role combines **Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Azure cloud engineering, DevOps automation, and exposure to modern data platforms** such as Databricks and Snowflake. The successful candidate will help build and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise cloud infrastructure supporting critical workloads. **Key Responsibilities** **Terraform \& Infrastructure as Code** * Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure using **Terraform** * Build reusable and scalable infrastructure modules * Troubleshoot and resolve Terraform\-related issues across environments * Optimize infrastructure code for performance, reliability, and maintainability **Cloud Infrastructure (Azure)** * Deploy and manage infrastructure on **Microsoft Azure** * Support cloud networking, compute, and storage components * Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and connectivity issues * Ensure scalability, security, and resilience of cloud environments **DevOps \& CI/CD Automation** * Build and maintain **CI/CD pipelines** for infrastructure and application delivery * Support automation of deployment processes across environments * Work with tools such as **GitHub, Artifactory, and Nexus** * Improve release efficiency and deployment reliability **Containerization \& Kubernetes** * Work with **Kubernetes** environments for application deployment * Support container lifecycle management and orchestration * Ensure operational stability of containerized workloads **Data Platform Exposure** * Work with modern data platforms including **Databricks and Snowflake** * Support data workflows and analytics workloads * Understand foundational data engineering concepts such as query federation and data pipelines **Scripting \& Integration** * Develop automation scripts using **Python** * Integrate SaaS and enterprise systems across cloud environments * Support cross\-platform and multi\-vendor integration initiatives **Required Skills \& Experience** * Strong hands\-on experience with **Terraform (must\-have)** * Solid experience with **Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure** * Experience in **CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps automation** * Working knowledge of **Kubernetes and containerized environments** * Strong proficiency in **Python** * Experience with **GitHub, Artifactory, and Nexus** * Exposure to **Databricks and/or Snowflake** * Experience working in **Capital Markets or enterprise\-scale financial environments**
