**Job Title – Data Scientist** **Period – 6 months ­­** **Location – Toronto, ON** **Work mode : Hybrid – 3 days** **Role Overview** We are seeking a Data Scientist with experience supporting sales workflows to contribute to data preparation, insight generation, and evaluation activities for a GenAI\-powered sales enablement platform. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills with an understanding of sales operations or advisor workflows. The candidate will work on moderate\-scope analytics projects, translate data into business insights, and collaborate across diverse data systems and cross\-functional teams. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare, clean, and analyze datasets for training, validation, and evaluation of LLM/GenAI features * Collaborate with product, sales, and business stakeholders to understand workflows, data needs, and performance metrics * Build dashboards and reporting solutions to track adoption, performance, and business impact * Support prompt evaluation, annotation, and quality assurance for AI\-generated outputs * Contribute to structured knowledge bases, taxonomies, and metadata for RAG\-based systems * Generate actionable insights to improve sales processes and user experience * Develop analytics\-driven solutions aligned with business goals and process improvements * Analyze complex datasets and integrate multiple data sources across systems * Translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations * Document data sources and support structured processes for continuous improvement * Collaborate with subject matter experts and build internal knowledge networks * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts or data scientists **Typical Day\-to\-Day Activities** * Participate in daily project updates with the core team * Communicate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and timelines * Design and implement technical solutions based on business needs * Perform hands\-on data preparation, analysis, and model development * Create presentation materials (e.g., slides) to share insights and proposals * Track tasks and progress using project management tools (e.g., Jira) * Work closely with a project team (4–5 members) and data infrastructure teams * Report to the Project Team Lead **Required Qualifications** * 3–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar role * Strong programming skills in Python * Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar * Experience working with sales or operational datasets * Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured analyses * Familiarity with GenAI concepts and interest in LLM workflows and evaluation * Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent) * Strong foundation in statistical methods (regression, clustering, PCA, decision trees, etc.) * Experience handling large and complex datasets * Knowledge of data modeling, relational databases, and basic ML toolkits * Strong communication skills to convey insights to non\-technical stakeholders **Must\-Have Skills** * Strong problem\-solving mindset * Experience with version control tools (Git, GitHub) * ML fundamentals (EDA, feature engineering, model evaluation) * Understanding of LLM concepts (context engineering, prompt engineering, guardrails) * Ability to translate technical concepts into business\-friendly language ***Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide.
