Location: Gothenburg, Sweden - Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)
Contract: Until 31 December 2026
Rate: Up to €520 per day
We are looking for an experienced
Data Scientist
to join a major organisation within the automotive sector. This is a hands-on role working with industrial data and applying data science and machine learning techniques to real-world business and engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply data science and machine learning solutions to industrial datasets.
- Perform data exploration, manipulation, statistical analysis and modelling using Python.
- Design and implement effective feature engineering approaches.
- Perform model selection, hyperparameter optimisation and evaluation.
- Work with data and ML workloads within
Microsoft Azure
.
- Apply data/software engineering principles to build robust and maintainable solutions.
- Support data quality, governance and effective use of data across projects.
- Collaborate with engineering, data and business stakeholders in an international environment.
Required Skills \& Experience
- Strong commercial experience as a Data Scientist.
- Extensive hands-on Python experience for data manipulation, analysis and modelling.
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning and Data Science concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of feature engineering and hyperparameter optimisation.
- Good understanding of statistical analysis.
- Understanding of data/software engineering principles.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.
- Previous exposure to industrial data science environments.
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related discipline.
