- About the Opportunity:
The Customer Service Representative role is designed to support customers by addressing their inquiries and issues related to healthcare services. This position plays a crucial part in enhancing customer experiences by providing accurate information, resolving complex problems, and facilitating access to healthcare resources. The role contributes directly to the organization's mission of improving health outcomes through effective communication and service.
- Responsibilities:
- Answer 50-70 incoming customer calls daily and identify required assistance
- Actively listen and ask relevant questions to clarify customer needs
- Document information accurately in computer systems
- Research complex issues using multiple databases and collaborate with support resources for resolution
- Schedule patient appointments and update demographic information
- Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum one year experience in a medical environment using phones and computers
- Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm MST, with occasional overtime
Preferred qualifications:
- One or more years of healthcare experience
- Typing speed of 40 words per minute
Telecommuting requirements:
- Residence in Arizona, Nevada, Utah, or New Mexico
- Secure handling of sensitive documents
- Dedicated, private workspace
- Access to approved high-speed internet connection
Soft skills:
- Effective listening and communication skills with compassion
- Conflict resolution abilities in stressful situations
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- Hourly pay ranges from $16.15 to $28.80, based on experience and other factors
