Corporate Accountant

Your new role

• Complete bank and corporate credit card reconciliations; investigate variances, ensure accurate coding and documentation, and correct errors promptly.
• Review AP and AR prepared by administrative staff; process vendor payments,
• reconcile billings to project budgets and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Communicate with project managers to confirm project forecasts and ensure timely progress and accurate invoicing.
• Resolve accounting questions and discrepancies with internal teams and external
• parties as required.
• Prepare and file GST returns and payroll remittances; coordinate corporate tax support with external accountants and assist with year-end review engagements.
• Month-end close, including checklists, accruals and account reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, cash flow tracking, forecasts, and variance analysis; provide adhoc- financial analysis and support the Finance team as requested.
• Improve and document accounting processes; support implementation of new
• tools/software.

What you'll need to succeed

• Completed a Bachelors degree in Accounting.
• Enroled in the CPA program
• 2–3 years of accounting experience supporting a senior team.
• Strong technical ability and experience with troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions while having attention to detail.
• Experience with a project-based accounting software system such as Deltec or Sage 300 is an asset.
• Project accounting experience is an asset
