**Description**
Administrative support is required to ensure continued operations at the Sydney Record Centre, which provides essential support services to government offices, including the judiciary. This role is intended to provide coverage until permanent staffing resources are secured to replace long\-term staff members in Sydney.
**Job Description**
Under general supervision, the successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative and clerical assignments requiring knowledge and understanding of established methods, procedures, acts, rules, and regulations. The incumbent will exercise judgment in selecting the most appropriate work methods and applying procedures in day\-to\-day activities.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide administrative and clerical support to the Sydney Record Centre
* Prepare, organize, and file correspondence and documentation
* Maintain records and ensure accurate filing systems
* Process and prepare expense claims and related documentation
* Maintain office supply inventory and petty cash records
* Distribute incoming and outgoing inter\-office mail
* Respond to telephone and in\-person inquiries in a professional manner
* Support daily office operations and assist staff as required
* Ensure confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive information
**Qualifications \& Requirements**
* Grade XI education plus two (2\) years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
* Strong organizational and time\-management skills
* Ability to work independently and under general supervision
* Proficiency with standard office procedures and administrative practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience handling records, filing systems, and general office support functions
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
**Preferred Skills**
* Experience working within a government or public sector environment
* Familiarity with records management processes
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks
