Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Steward to lead the stewarding operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all kitchens and food \& beverage outlets. The role is critical in supporting smooth kitchen operations and maintaining compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the stewarding team across all F\&B outlets
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchens, stores, equipment, and back-of-house areas
- Implement and monitor hygiene, HACCP, and food safety standards
- Coordinate with Executive Chef and F\&B team to support daily operations
- Control inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and kitchen equipment
- Plan stewarding manpower schedules and duty rosters
- Train stewarding staff on proper cleaning, chemical handling, and safety procedures
- Ensure proper waste management and recycling practices
- Maintain dishwashing operations to support service flow during peak hours
- Conduct regular inspections and prepare for internal and external audits
Requirements \& Qualifications
- Proven experience as Chief Steward or Stewarding Supervisor in a hotel or large restaurant
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Experience managing teams and duty rosters
- Good communication skills in English (other languages are a plus)
- Physically fit and able to work flexible shifts
- Familiarity with UAE food safety regulations preferred
- Leadership skills with a hands-on approach
