About the Role
Novatex is part of the Gatronova group. Novatex is currently Pakistan’s largest Non-Textile exporter and largest manufacturer of PET Resin, rPET, and BoPET films, with manufacturing facilities all across Pakistan.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Novatex to join our executive leadership team. This role will be responsible for shaping and executing the company's financial strategy, ensuring robust financial governance, driving business performance, and supporting sustainable growth across multiple business units and regions.
The CFO will lead all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting and planning, costing, compliance, and finance transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in partnering with the business to drive operational excellence, profitability, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Leadership
- Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Serve as a trusted adviser to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on financial and commercial matters.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth, investment decisions, and operational improvements.
- Lead long-term financial planning and scenario modelling to evaluate strategic opportunities and risks.
Business Partnering \& Strategic Decision Support
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations to support business growth, profitability, and investment decisions.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial teams to drive performance, optimize costs, improve working capital, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, capital investments, and business opportunities, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and value creation.
Financial Planning \& Budgeting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts across all business functions.
- Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights through management reporting and variance analysis.
- Drive accountability for financial targets and business performance throughout the organization.
Financial Reporting \& Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Maintain a strong internal control environment and governance framework.
Costing \& Operational Finance
- Oversee product costing, standard costing, variance analysis, and profitability assessments.
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure effective utilization and continuous improvement of costing methodologies within SAP S/4HANA.
Finance Transformation \& Systems
- Champion finance transformation and process optimization initiatives through digitalization and AI enablement.
- Lead the enhancement and optimization of SAP S/4HANA financial and controlling modules.
- Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and effective financial systems governance.
Leadership \& Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to support organizational success.
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant, with at least 12 years of post-qualification experience.
- MBA or an advanced finance qualification will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a significant leadership role i.e. CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent role.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, or multi-site operations is highly preferred.
- Proven experience leading ERP-driven finance transformations, preferably SAP S/4HANA.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with executive leadership teams to drive business growth and performance.
