Accounting Specialist
Mission Statement
Responsible to implement \& execute all the strategies, Policies/SOPs, Controls related to all kind of inventories and fixed assets in collaboration with Territory Supply Chain teams. Also act as a supervisory check on Supply Chain Sub-Functions to ensure that they are managing the inventories as per the Company's guidelines.
Supervision and execution of physical verification of Fixed Assets and regular inventory counts to get assurance that all the inventories physically exist and as per Company's record. Overseeing the Gate Operations to ensure all movements of assets and inventories/Scrap movements are authorized and properly documented.
Coordination with the relevant Warehouse teams for timely resolution of identified issues and reporting the same to Territory Supply Chain Leadership Team and Line Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure to implement controls and SOPs in true letter and spirit to safeguard company’s assets and inventories
- Conduct Daily/Weekly \& Monthly Stock Counts of Finished Goods, Raw Materials and Stores \& Spares and comparing stock count numbers with system reports. Identification of differences, if any, resolution of the same and reporting to Line Manager \& Territory Supply Chain Leadership Team.
Posting of Inventory adjustments in system after physical verification/validation and after getting approval from all as per Company Policies and Procedure Manual
- Responsible to conduct physical verification of all Fixed Assets in the territory according to Company's Policies and Procedures. Identification of the differences vs Fixed Asset register and submission of the report to the supervisor for resolution of these differences. Ensure that all the Fixed Assets are properly tagged all the times as per Fixed Asset register.
- Support in preparation of Insurance Claims, timely submission to the insurance company, cooridination with the surveyor for assesmnet of loss. Follow-up with Head Office Control team and Insurance Company for timely settlment of Claims. Maintain complete track of insurance claims.
- Ensures effective Gate Operations and Controls are in Place without any breach. Periodic/Surprise Random and sample based checking of Haulage/Sales vehicle etc.
- Finalize Duty Roster of Gate Staff according to business requirements. Ensuring Zero Non-Compliance of Labor Laws while finalizing roster.
- Coordination with Territory Supply Chain for timely posting of entries with respct to monthly closing. Sharing closing message with Head offic control team on completion of Production entries, Component Postings, GRNs, Store Issuance etc.
Candidate Education
Bachelor's Degree (Accounting and Finance, Business \& Management studies)
2-4 years Experience (CMA, CPA, SMMM, ACCA, ACA Certificate (desirable); or equvilent)
