Accountant

Job Title: Accountant (IT Services Company – 5–8 Years Experience) Location: Abudhabi \- UAE Reporting To: Finance Manager / CFO Salary: 10 K AED Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Accountant with 5–8 years of experience, preferably within an IT services or technology\-driven environment. The candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, project\-based accounting, and ensuring compliance and IFRS standards. Strong experience in ERP applications and handling service\-based revenue models is essential. **Key Requirements**  Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field  5–8 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably in IT services / technology sector  Strong hands\-on experience with ERP applications (mandatory)  Experience in project accounting and service\-based revenue recognition  Knowledge of IFRS standards (especially revenue recognition – IFRS 15\)  Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, financial models)  Experience in handling audits and financial compliance  Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills **Key Responsibilities**  Manage general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations  Handle accounts payable (AP) and receivable (AR), including client invoicing for IT services and AMC contracts  Perform project accounting, including cost allocation, revenue tracking, and profitability analysis per project  Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports  Conduct bank reconciliations and manage cash flow  Maintain financial data within ERP systems ensuring accuracy and integrity  Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities  Track contract revenue (AMC, SLAs, milestone\-based billing)  Assist in internal and external audits  Monitor operational costs, vendor payments, and subcontractor expenses  Prepare MIS reports and financial dashboards for management  Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, IFRS, and internal policies **Preferred Qualifications**  Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA (part/fully qualified)  Experience with IT contracts, AMC billing, or subscription\-based revenue models  Familiarity with multi\-entity or multi\-currency accounting **Competencies**  Strong attention to detail and accuracy  Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines  High level of integrity and confidentiality  Business\-oriented mindset with analytical thinking  Ability to work independently and collaboratively
