Job description: **Job Title: Zonal Sales Manager \- Hyderabad** * Oversee sales operations for a designated zone or region within the tea business. * Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company objectives and targets. * Manage and support a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and sales representatives (TMs). * Establish strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and trade partners. * Analyse market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to optimize sales. * Ensure the consistent availability of stock across the zone through effective distribution management. * Drive brand visibility and market penetration within the assigned region. * Monitor and improve the overall performance of the sales team. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Sales Strategy \& Planning** * + Develop and implement zonal sales strategies aligned with national goals. + Set sales targets for the zone and individual teams. + Design action plans to achieve sales growth and market share. + Business KPIs Drive PQA agenda * **Team Leadership \& Development** * + Manage and mentor a team of ASMs and sales officers. + Conduct regular team meetings to review performance and provide guidance. + Identify training needs and provide coaching to enhance team effectiveness. * **Market Development** * + Expand market presence by identifying new opportunities within the zone. + Collaborate with the marketing team to roll out promotional activities. + Ensure proper placement and visibility of tea products at all points of sale. * **Distributor \& Trade Management** * + Build and maintain relationships with distributors and trade partners. + Ensure optimal inventory levels and timely delivery of products. + Address trade concerns and resolve conflicts to maintain smooth operations. * **Sales Performance Monitoring** * + Track daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and take corrective action as needed. + Monitor competitors' activities and adjust strategies accordingly. + Conduct market visits to assess customer satisfaction and team performance. * **Financial Accountability** * + Ensure achievement of sales targets within the allocated budget. + Manage and control trade spends and discounts efficiently. * **Compliance \& Reporting** * + Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. + Provide regular reports to senior management on sales progress, challenges, and opportunities. * **Customer Relationship Management** * + Develop strong relationships with key retailers and customers in the zone. + Resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. This role is pivotal in driving business growth and ensuring that the tea brand remains competitive in the marketplace.
