Warehouse Supervisor

We are looking for a full-time Warehouse supervisor for our newest brand: Factor (factormeals.ca), a healthy, ready-to-heat meal delivery service. Reporting to the Site Director, you will lead all warehousing, inbound, and outbound activities. As part of our Production team, you will play a key role in delivering a consistently outstanding product to our customers while rapidly scaling a new business.

With the assistance of the Associate Director of Production, build out a warehouse team responsible for all receiving, shipping, storage / distribution of goods, and logistics activities

• In collaboration with the operation management team, plan and assign tasks of production associates to support production activities, and hold the team accountable for completing tasks in time.
• With assistance from the Associate director of Production, develop and build the systems including:
• Physical material flow process, including FIFO and allergen segregation principles
• 6S organization of warehouse areas
• Building scalable inventory systems, including cycle count processes
• Build and update electronic data systems
• Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
• Ensure shipment and inventory transactions are documented accurately and in time
• Coordinating inventory transfers with related departments
• Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles
• Recommending improvements
• Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts and reconciling variances
• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma, post-secondary education preferred
• 2+ years experience in a high volume receiving role or high volume food service environment
• Experience working with produce is a requirement
• Experience working in a warehouse environment/shipping and receiving
• The licensed to operate motorized hand trucks, Forklift, Reach Truck or Stacker 
• Clear and concise communicator, verbal and written
• Overtime, weekend, evening and holiday work, as required
• Must be willing and able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be willing and able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
• A problem solver’s mentality; you see problems as opportunities, identify and simplify complex issues, and drive rapid, focused, and data-driven solutions
• Energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude; used to working in a fast-growing environment
• Drive and self-motivation; you have burning desire to make a meaningful difference in our business and lives of our employees
• Comfort with being exposed to hot, cool and/or cold environments (0-30ºC)
