Marky’s is seeking a highly strategic and hands\-on
**Vice President of Sales (Wholesale)**
to lead and scale our wholesale business.
This role requires a rare combination of
**top\-tier external sales ability and internal operational leadership**
. The VP will be responsible for driving new business with high\-value accounts nationwide while simultaneously building the structure, processes, and team needed to support long\-term, scalable growth.
You will work closely with our existing Sales Manager to
**evaluate current performance, identify gaps, and implement a more effective sales organization**
, including account coverage, pipeline management, training, and team development.
The ideal candidate is both a
**hunter and a builder**
—someone who can open doors with major clients while transforming how a sales team operates internally.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Revenue Growth \& Key Account Acquisition**
* Build and convert a strong pipeline of strategic clients, including chefs, restaurant groups, hotels, and premium retailers. Personally lead outbound sales efforts.
* Develop new relationships to drive meaningful revenue growth.
**Sales Team Structure \& Optimization**
* Evaluate the current sales organization and redesign team structure, roles, and account coverage as needed.
* Implement clear ownership across territories, verticals, or client segments.
**Hiring, Talent Development \& Leadership**
* Define hiring needs, role profiles, and team structure required to support wholesale growth in target markets.
* Actively recruit and attract top sales talent, leveraging industry networks and referrals.
* Mentor, coach, and develop the sales team to represent Marky’s brand, elevating performance and accountability across the organization.
**Process, Training \& Performance Management**
* Audit the current sales process end\-to\-end and identify gaps in workflow, follow\-up, and conversion.
* Build and implement standardized sales processes, playbooks, and best practices.
* Train and mentor the sales team to improve performance, consistency, and accountability.
* Establish KPIs, pipeline discipline, and reporting structures.
**Qualifications**
* 8–12\+ years of experience in luxury wholesale or B2B sales, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
* **REQUIRED: Direct experience in luxury food, with a focus in seafood, hospitality, or specialty distribution.**
* Proven ability to
**both close large accounts and build/scale sales teams**
.
* Strong existing network within restaurants, hotels, and/or high\-end retail.
* Demonstrated experience hiring, building, and developing high\-performing sales teams.
* Experience working cross\-functionally with pricing or finance teams to develop scalable pricing strategies.
* Highly organized and analytical, with strong pipeline and forecasting discipline.
* Hands\-on, roll\-up\-your\-sleeves mentality with a strategic mindset.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
* Languages Fluent in English, other languages a plus.
