Job Description

Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human

Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.

This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.

Are you a recruiting leader who isn’t satisfied with the status quo? Do you thrive on building and scaling world-class teams that power disruptive technology? At Okta, we're seeking a visionary VP of Global Talent Acquisition to redefine how we attract and hire the people who will build our future. This role is not just about managing a function; it’s about shaping the very fabric of our company.

As the VP of Global Talent Acquisition, you will be the strategic owner of our global recruiting vision. You won’t just run a team; you’ll cultivate a talent ecosystem that serves as a powerful competitive advantage for Okta. We are looking for a leader who can think on a global scale, leverage predictive insights to drive strategy, and inspire a team to deliver transformative results in a fast-paced environment. You will be a trusted advisor to the C-suite, using your expertise to influence and guide the long-term workforce strategy of the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: YOUR IMPACT

  • Architect the Global Talent Strategy: Act as a strategic partner to the C-suite, designing and executing a forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy that anticipates future business needs, influences workforce planning, and positions Okta to win top talent in a competitive market.
  • Pioneer an AI-Driven Recruiting Engine: Champion the integration of AI and predictive analytics across the recruiting lifecycle. You will leverage intelligent automation and data-driven insights to enhance sourcing, optimize processes, and build a highly efficient, modern talent acquisition function.
  • Lead and Inspire a World-Class Team: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global recruiting organization. Cultivate a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning that establishes your team as a destination for top recruiting talent.
  • Drive Transformational & Scalable Operations: Engineer and optimize our global talent acquisition processes for maximum efficiency and scalability. Champion a culture of innovation that delivers a frictionless and memorable experience for candidates and hiring managers alike

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: YOUR EXPERTISE

  • A demonstrated track record of leading global talent acquisition in a fast-paced, high-growth technology (preferably enterprise SaaS) company.
  • A forward-thinking technologist with a deep understanding of how to leverage AI and automation to create a more efficient, effective, and equitable recruiting process.
  • Experience building and leading multi-tiered global recruiting teams, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent. You are a "talent magnet" who can attract and retain top recruiting professionals.
  • Deep expertise in using data and analytics to drive strategy and influence executive decisions. You can tell a compelling story with data and use it to predict future hiring needs.
  • You are a visionary leader who has experience working with abstract and complex challenges, and you have a gift for turning them into actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior executives, with the executive presence to influence and drive alignment at the highest levels of an organization.
  • You are a master of cross-functional collaboration, building influential partnerships with leaders in HR, Finance, and other functional business units. You design talent strategies with an "enterprise-first" approach, ensuring they scale and align with broader company objectives.
  • A growth mindset and a natural curiosity that drives you to continuously learn and challenge assumptions. You are a change agent who thrives in an agile environment and can lead teams through transformation.
  • You are customer-obsessed and have a passion for creating memorable experiences for candidates and internal stakeholders alike.
