Job Description
Our client Agay Barho is looking for a UK Accountant \- IRIS, Xero, VAT, CIS, Charity in Rawalpindi In this role, the UK Accountant is responsible for maintaining comprehensive financial records, preparing and submitting accurate VAT returns, and managing CIS processes in line with HMRC regulations. The position involves preparing monthly management accounts, assisting with year\-end accounts, handling HMRC communication, and supporting corporation tax and self\-assessment submissions. The accountant also ensures charity accounts comply with Charity Commission standards and regulatory requirements, preparing detailed reports for trustees and regulators. This role is critical to sustaining financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency for clients in the accounting, construction, and charity sectors served by Agay Barho. **Responsibilities** * Use IRIS and Xero software to maintain accurate and up\-to\-date bookkeeping records for multiple UK clients. * Prepare VAT returns ensuring full compliance with HMRC rules and submit them on time. * Manage Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processes effectively to ensure accurate deductions and reporting. * Compile monthly management accounts to provide clear insights into financial performance. * Assist with the preparation of year\-end financial statements and submissions in accordance with UK accounting standards. * Handle all correspondence with HMRC, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly and professionally. * Maintain and reconcile Director Loan Accounts (DLA) to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. * Support corporation tax and self\-assessment tax return processes as required. * Maintain comprehensive financial records for charity clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. * Prepare charity accounts in line with Charity Commission guidelines and following SORP recommendations. * Assist in drafting detailed financial reports for trustees and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and accountability. * Ensure ongoing compliance with UK accounting standards, tax laws, and charity regulations to minimize risk. * Manage multiple client portfolios concurrently, prioritizing tasks and meeting strict deadlines. * Apply strong financial reporting skills to produce accurate and informative financial data and summaries. * Maintain an up\-to\-date understanding of UK tax legislation changes that impact accounting and reporting. * Support basic payroll processes ensuring adherence to legal and tax obligations. * Communicate effectively with UK clients and regulatory bodies, demonstrating professionalism and clarity.
