TRANSMISSION FIELD ENGINEER

Job Purpose: N/A Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring core Transmission (OTN \& SDH/PTN) network availability and to take proactive measures to maintain it.
• Executing of PM as per plan which involves site visits, identification of Site Environmental/ Power related issues and their escalation following standard procedures.
• Operation and Maintenance of Long Haul optical transmission network that includes OTN \& SDH/PTN
• Preventive Maintenance of OTN, SDH \& PTN equipment i.e. Equipment cleaning, ensuring quality standards for patch cords laying/physical connectivity, Equipment power \& redundancy check.
• Providing monthly reports compilation of all sites assigned and their issues resolution in coordination with Field Operations teams.
• Analyzing, diagnosing and correcting network hardware and/or software problems associated with transport network to minimize network downtime.
• Ensuring 24/7 availability in case of faults which involves Hardware arrangement in co-ordination with Warehouse, site visit \& onsite support for resolution of issues.
• Networking Audit of PM performed by Technicians \& Field teams ensuring quality standards.
• Networking Audit of newly installed Equipment and resolution of quality issues before service cut over.
• Executing of connectivity i.e. Patch Cords/Ethernet Cables \& Power Cables connectivity as per standard in case of Expansion and faults.
• Maintaining record of hardware/spares in the region assigned and submission of Faculty Hardware in Warehouse along with Fault Reports.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills): Education:

preferably B.E. Electrical / Electronics/ Telecom

Work Experience

• Preferably a minimum of 1 year of experience
