About the position:
The
Technical Sales Manager (Scandinavia)
is a senior commercial role tasked with leading and accelerating business growth across the Scandinavian region. The candidate will
own the sales strategy and execution
for the territory, driving revenue expansion and significantly increasing market penetration through
technical consultation, relationship management, and new business development
.

to grow the business beyond its current core market. The successful candidate will act as a
trusted business partner to
customers , understanding their operational challenges and aligning solutions to their strategic goals. They will champion commercial growth, manage key accounts, and build a sustainable pipeline of opportunities while collaborating closely with internal technical service, product management, and operations teams to ensure customer success.
Reporting:

VP of Sales
Key Accountabilities:
Commercial Growth \& Market Strategy
- Design and execute a comprehensive sales plan to achieve revenue and profitability targets for the Scandinavian region (Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark).
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, particularly outside of Sweden, to expand the company's footprint in the face of strong competition.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to position the company's solutions effectively and gain a competitive advantage.
- Drive the transition from a single-market focus to a multi-country commercial strategy.
Technical Sales \& Customer Consultation
- Provide high-level technical consultation and application support for the company's portfolio of advanced materials and process optimization solutions.
- Understand customer operations, challenges, and production goals to demonstrate how products and services improve safety, efficiency, and cost performance.
- Lead technical presentations and product demonstrations for senior customer leadership, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable value propositions, collaborating with R\&D and product management on innovation roadmaps.
Key Account Management \& Relationship Building
- Own and manage existing key accounts, protecting the current business base while identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships at all levels within customer organizations, from plant operations and purchasing to senior management.
- Manage complex sales cycles, commercial negotiations, and contract renewals to secure long-term partnerships.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer escalations and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Market Intelligence \& Reporting
- Monitor and report on market dynamics, customer investment plans, and competitive threats.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, business reports, and strategic account plans to inform senior management.
- Ensure transparent reporting and data-driven decision-making to support business growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration \& Change Management
- Collaborate closely with internal manufacturing, technical service, quality, and R\&D teams to ensure the feasibility and competitiveness of proposed solutions.
- Translate market insights and customer feedback into innovation roadmaps and best-practice sharing.
Preconditions:
- Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in technical sales within the steel, refractory, metallurgy, or industrial process industries.
- Strong knowledge of steelmaking processes and customer operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and key customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language (preferably Swedish).
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Scandinavia.
