Structural Engineer

**Job Title: Structural Engineers** **Industry: Oil \& Gas (Offshore)** **Location: China** **Email: ejaz@spemocean.com** **Role Overview** We are seeking an experienced **Structural Engineer and Lead Jacket Structural Engineer** to lead the analysis, design, and delivery of offshore jacket structures for major oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in offshore structural engineering, proven leadership capability, and hands\-on experience with international design standards. This role requires ownership of structural integrity, safety, and compliance across all project phases, from concept design through detailed engineering and installation. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead the structural design and analysis of offshore jacket structures, including piles, braces, and topside interface points * Perform in\-place, load\-out, transportation, and installation analyses * Ensure designs meet environmental and operational load requirements (wave, wind, seismic, and fatigue) * Oversee and review detailed engineering deliverables, calculations, and drawings * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers * Interface with multidisciplinary teams including pipeline, geotechnical, and marine engineers * Ensure compliance with international standards such as API and DNV * Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP studies, and client meetings * Support fabrication, transportation, and offshore installation activities * Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure safe and efficient project execution **Required Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering * Proven experience in offshore structural engineering, with a focus on jacket structures * Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing project deliverables * Strong understanding of offshore design codes and standards (API, DNV, ISO) * Hands\-on experience with structural analysis software such as SACS and ANSYS * Solid knowledge of load calculations, fatigue analysis, and structural dynamics * Experience with fabrication and installation engineering is highly desirable **Key Skills \& Competencies** * Strong leadership and decision\-making skills * Excellent problem\-solving and analytical abilities * Effective communication and stakeholder management * High attention to detail and commitment to safety * Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines **Preferred Experience** * Experience working on EPC projects * Exposure to deepwater and harsh environment projects * Prior experience in Middle East or international offshore projects **Application Process** **Interested candidates are invited to submit their updated CV along with project experience details highlighting offshore jacket design work.** * **Email: ejaz@spemocean.com**
