The City of Medicine Hat is looking for a Storekeeper 1 for a temporary, position funded through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program. If you're a motivated self\-starter who enjoys physical work and learning new skills, this opportunity is for you! **Your Key Responsibilities** * Receive and issue stock using a computerized inventory control system. * Inspect, shelve, and distribute stock throughout the organization. * Prepare supplies as needed. * Conduct cycle counts and periodic inventory checks to ensure accuracy. * Maintain the office, warehouse, and yard in a clean and organized manner. * Operate various tools and equipment, including pallet jack, hand truck and office equipment. **What You Bring** * A basic understanding of inventory systems and warehouse procedures. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully. * A commitment to safety and attention to detail in all tasks. * Willingness and physical capability to perform manual labour in a variety of weather and warehouse conditions. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn inventory and ERP systems. * High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality and integrity. **Qualifications** * Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. * One (1\) year of work experience, preferably in a Stores or warehouse environment. * Knowledge of WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods regulations is an asset. * An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. This is a temporary position funded through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program.
