Job Description – Stockyard In-Charge

Position: Stockyard In-Charge

Location: Local candidates preferred

Industry: Steel Fabrication / Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

• Managing complete stockyard operations and ensuring proper storage of steel materials.
• Receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming materials from suppliers.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory reports.
• Issuing materials to production departments as per approved requisitions.
• Monitoring stock levels and reporting material shortages.
• Ensuring proper stacking, identification, and preservation of steel materials.
• Coordinating with factory departments for material movement and availability.
• Conducting periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
• Maintaining housekeeping, safety, and discipline within the stockyard.
• Supervising loading, unloading, and material handling activities.

Requirements

• Experience in steel store, stockyard, or material management in a manufacturing/fabrication industry.
• Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.
• Ability to maintain records and prepare stock reports.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel/ERP preferred).
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Local candidates will be preferred.
